The Bad Outdoorsmen

The Bad Outdoorsmen universe is populated with a cast of characters, including ourselves, whose misadventures, mishaps, and foolishness in the outdoors inspire us to ask - who gets to claim mastery of nature and how are some myths born?

Through several works, we've paid homage to some of our favorite doofuses.

Keith, presented in laser cut polysilk leaves, gave himself a tattoo on season 7 of Alone.

Shawn, also depicted in laser cut polysilk leaves, made a hot tub out of an old boat on Alone.

This textile installation brings together three original doofuses - John Muir, John Audubon, and Billy Bartram. Pages from Muir's "1000 Mile Walk to the Gulf" are presented in laser cut leaves with printed and vinyl cut drawings by Audubon and Bartram.
